Lemon Aspire A1

Detailed Review

This smartphone presents a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The Aspire A1 flaunts a display of 13.46 cms; approximately 5.3 inches. The screen is tends to huge which can be a bother when it comes to portability of this smartphone. The games, videos and other applications make quite an impression when viewed on bigger screens, thus this smartphone is a great choice in this regard.

The low discharge levels and and the light weight of this device have the flexibility to be accounted to with its Li-Polymer battery. United with a mAh Li-Polymer battery, you have the flexibility to expect equalised battery performance with the Aspire A1.

Though it's past its prime considering the latest entrants, yet the Aspire A1 does feature a 2 MP front camera; but it is meaningless spending money on a feature that might be of past its prime use to you. Megapixels are not the sole determiners of the quality of your images and videos. Depending on the sensor quality and the smartphone's other applications; you can get surprisingly good photography results even with a Yes, 8 megapixels camera.

General Features

The basic accessories such as Charger, Handsfree, User Mannual, Data Cable, Handset, Warranty Card, Battery too is supplied along with the Aspire A1. The Aspire A1 here features a White body. Like most of the popular smartphones in the market, the Aspire A1 sports a touch screen.

Your device further has Wi-Fi connnectivity, as a bonus to the mobile data. The headphone jack of 3.5 mm makes sure that the audio needs are met by this smartphone. You get a Dual Sim sim with this smartphone.

The lower capacity of internal memory may raise a few eyebrows as it only satisfies basic utilities. Along with swift multitasking, the internal RAM of this smartphone assures performance and stability. The expandable memory of 32 GB is all available for use as against the cramped internal storage which already has space allocated to default apps and other programs; now you are able to carry your entertainment in your pocket. The Aspire A1 is absolutely compatible with the microSD, which can help you boost the internal storage of the device.

The Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system is the one delivering the awesome performance. Processors with higher frequencies and multiple cores may be in trend today, but that doesn't mean they always help with battery life. So, if you don't use your phone to handle many things at once, and would like to just use one task or function at a time, then this smartphone, which serves you with Dual Core processor, would be just the phone for you. You can avoid heating up your phone from over-usage and further save on its energy throughout the day by not overloading it with too many running apps, and completing just one task at a time. The popular operating system android makes sure the latest apps and trends are available to you. Equipped with a 1 GHz processor frequency, the Aspire A1 offers a power packed performance. A lower frequency would mean the device would endure longer to respond, so for a smoother performance, a higher frequency would be optimal. Most of the popular apps today would run smoothly with the speed offered by the 1 GHz processor frequency.

Mr. Ajmera's Review (A business user)

It's a constant struggle with the Aspire A1 to balance my need for a large screen and keyboard that accommodate my large fingers, against the need for a small size and low weight device that would enhance mobility. The battery of this phone would be okay only if you are fine being on a constant quest for charging options within half a working day. If you are a road warrior like me then you better rethink your choice of device.

Mrs. Iyer's Review (A homemaker)

For me carrying a phone as big as this Aspire A1 is really inconvenient, even if it offers me easy typing on its large keyboard with properly spaced out alphabets. A smartphone without a good camera is really not my choice, even if the Aspire A1 sports other excellent features and fairly makes up. I will need to delete or transfer photos every week if I choose this Aspire A1 with its small storage space. The expandable memory of the Aspire A1 is a good option for me as against the high priced smartphones which come with high internal memory.

Ishan's Review (A geek)

More than my hobby of gaming and reading on my smartphone, the awesome graphics and sharp display excite me about the massive 5.3 inch screen of the Aspire A1. Gaming is really a turn off on this 1 GHz smartphone; reading is still bearable. Dealing with lags and slow load time really makes me impatient when it comes to gaming. Gaming or multi-tasking, everything is smooth with its 1 GB RAM. Smartphone storage with such low capacity even for basic apps and programs is really irrelevant. If you have gaming and ebook library as huge as mine, you can never say no to an extendable memory storage. The battery does last for 3-4 hours of a graphic-heavy game session, however immediately after this I need to put the Aspire A1 on charging; really can't do much post the session.

Prachi's Review (A social butterfly)

The first thing I noticed in the Aspire A1 was its 5.3 inches display. The awesome screen size and the fantastic videos of the Aspire A1 is something I simply can't get enough of. I really don't care much about the screen type or resolution; I just want my movies and videos on a large screen. Large screen typing for me is pretty cool; of course I have to use both my hands for this. The Yes, 8 MP camera resolution is not that cool. You can easily opt for any other smartphone with a better camera, it might even be cheaper. I don't think this smartphone can click awesome pictures, which by the way is my favourite hobby. Recently, I can't imagine life without selfies, and hence the secondary camera. Clicking selfies and groupies is a favourite pastime for me and my friends. It's sometimes difficult to click selfies and groupies with the main camera, so always go for smartphones with good secondary camera. The USB connector lets me charge my phone even with my laptop and transfer files. The small 4 GB internal storage of the Aspire A1 feels quite miserly. I don't understand the use of this storage if it can't contain all my media files.
